The Game Never Ends

When you hold a position that constantly puts you in the public eye, you may be destined to live the rest of your life in the spotlight even after your position as a public figure comes to an end. Consider politicians, such as the President of the United States. Most people would be hard pressed to think of a President that did not still make news, even after his term of office ended. The same is true of celebrities and athletes. Just because their time in the movies or professional sports comes to a close doesn’t mean once famous people are now free from paparazzi or from the journalist’s pen.

Former NBA player Clifford Robinson knows just what it means to remain the subject of the press:

  • Robinson was arrested for DWI following a football game in October.
  • The arrest stemmed from Robinson’s failure to use the proper lane for merging onto the roadway.
  • Upon arrest, Robinson faced multiple charges.

The fact multiple charges have been filed is not unusual. Robinson is facing an aggravated DWI charge because he had children in the car at the time of the incident. Defending these types of charges is challenging, but not impossible. A solid defense includes one where a thorough investigation of the facts is made. Only by investigating the facts can helpful evidence be uncovered. Skilled criminal defense attorneys are adept at developing a defense that fits your case, and putting your best foot forward for a satisfactory result.

If you have been arrested for DWI, felony DWI; or even a first timer; call a skilled North Carolina criminal defense lawyer for representation. We work hard to protect your good reputation and provide results that work for you.
